 Dublin-born
guitarist, Christy Doran, has lived in Switzerland since his childhood.
Based in Lucerne, he has established a reputation as one of the most
dextrous and adventurous jazz guitarists in Europe, renowned not least
for his sole concerts in which he pushes the capabilities of a single
guitar to its limits. Highlights of his career include the 1970's
seminal Swiss band 'OM', over the intervening years he played in
numerous bands and contributed to a wide variety of musical projects
touring in Europe, North-Africa, India, the Caribbean, Mexico, Bolivia,
the U.S. and Canada. For Melt Christy recorded an album called SHAMAN
with Tuvan master of throat singing, Boris Salchak featuring Airto
Moreira as a guest.
